Ear Seeds Consent Form

What are ear seeds? Ear seeds are small seeds (vaccaria) held on specific points of the outer ear with surgical tape. They gently stimulate acupressure points on the surface and do not penetrate through the skin.

Possible side effects: Mild tenderness at the point, or skin irritation or itching from the adhesive. Rarely, the skin under the patch may become red or sore, and dizziness, drowsiness or nausea may occur.

Aftercare: You can leave the seeds in for 3–5 days. You can shower as normal; pat your ears dry afterwards. Remove them straight away if you notice itching, redness, soreness, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea or any irritation. Please don't let children or pets handle them. Use tweezers to remove and lean your ear towards the floor so the ear seed does not fall into the ear canal.
